Good advice from good ole Buddah:
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
When I set my mind in this way of thinking and living, I realize how I am much more content with everything. Like for instance, I'm spending some good time concentrating on studying for my art history test, and it's A LOT of information. Instead of worrying about remembering all of the facts for the test/essay, I am just learning and enjoying it. It's fun enjoying the simplicity of life. =)

This is a quote I would like to share.
When I was visiting in Seattle, WA back in January, Ryan and I went to Starbucks and ordered our usual hot cup of chai. You know how on every cup is a quote from some random customer? I always enjoy reading them and this one in particular touched me in the relationship I am lucky to say I am in and the person I am striving to become in my every day to day life.
The Way I See It #76
The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating-
in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic,
from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation.
To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.
-Anne Morris
Of course you have to use your head (logic) but I believe it is a balance of the heart and head.
Basically, don't be afraid to commit yourself. Whether it be to a job, a friend, a particular major, a missions trip, a church, a community, to a loved one, or to yourself. Just trust.

I have a confession...
I just ate chocolate chip cookies!
...i gave up junk foods in general for lent, even the little things like jelly beans and what not, BUT I broke down when my sister had cookies right in front of me with a cold glass of milk. I was doing so well. I seriously think my body is allergic to crap foods.
On a happy note, ryan and I had our food tasting yesterday and it was fun! Yay for a free three course dinner! My sister and I decided we are going to act like we are both getting married and hit up all the food tastings. Yup, that's our plan.
